Tight Hips? Do these 3 Yoga Stretches to Loosen your Hips #hipexererices

Open your flow of energy and meridians that run up and down your body to feel oh so good!

Did you know you have over 20 muscles that cross the hip?

A collection of inner thigh muscles known as the adductors, the collection of outer thigh muscles known as the abductors, the hip flexors in front, deep lateral rotators in back, and more.

Tight hips affect your ability to simply bend over to pick up something up from the floor.

Hip openers improve your range of motion and circulation and decreased back pain. Hip stretches also keep the joints and muscles in good alignment.

Yogic tradition holds the hips as a storage ground for negative feelings and unaddressed emotions. Hip-opening can create space for the birth of new ideas. Loosening the hips can create an energetic shift or release as well.

How to Strengthen your Arms and Shoulders, 3 times a week!

If you don’t lift heavy things, your arms and shoulders muscles will get weak.

Do you want to rely on asking someone else to pick up heavy items for you?

As I am out and about in the community, kind people will offer to help me lift items.

No thank you, I can do it. It may take a little longer and I enjoy the practice.

“If you don’t use it, you lose it”

Here is a 4-minute video with arm and shoulder strengthening exercises.

Practice playfully 3 times a week. 🦾

You Rock Yoga!

Greetings 🌲 Have you been out for forest bathing lately?

There are happy healing benefits to be out of our buildings, under the sky with our feet on the earth instead of on concrete.

People who spend time in the forest experience decreased cortisol (stress hormone) levels, which can help relieve high blood pressure, heart conditions, skin conditions, and asthma.

By reducing stress levels your body’s natural immunity defense systems are able to work their magic. 🌍

Trees release oils into the air, called phytoncides, and inhaling these natural essences can actually help to boost your immune system.

Take little steps to greater health with a walk in the woods, at the Baylands or at the beach. 🐋

My longtime friend, Ilona and I take walks together about once a week.

She is a good videographer, and we like sharing stretches so you can radiate good feelings in your body, mind and heart.
